EssexGirl Honey is my summer job.
My dad and I keep bees in Montclair, NJ. He came up with the name of our business. We live in Essex County, but I don’t get it.
We can deliver our raw, local honey in towns close to Montclair like Verona, Livingston, Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Orange, Nutley, Glen Ridge, Bloomfield, Clifton–or otherwise figure out a way to get you our honey.
We also ship honey to friends and family, but we hope that if you’ve found this website from somewhere outside Essex County, NJ, that you’ll track down a local beekeeper instead of ordering from us. Keep it local!

We just started to bottle our Summer 2011 extraction. It has a nice spicy aftertaste. Unusual. We don’t have much in bottles though, because we decided to make mead with some of it. Let’s see how that goes!
